Film in the Present Tense

“Film in the Present Tense”

Labor Berlin, with the Film Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts, brings together artists, archivists, programmers, technicians, curators, thinkers and users of photochemical film to question the all too widely accepted notion that analogue film is a dying artform.  “Film in the Present Tense” is a symposium exploring film’s many forms through talks, film screenings and expanded cinema and will be held in Berlin 20th – 22nd October, 2017. The full pogramme for the weekend event, with the keynote held by Mark Toscano (filmmaker, curator and archivist), can be found here.
